TetraScience

TetraScience builds a Scientific Data and AI Cloud that unifies raw lab instrument data into AI-ready information for pharmaceutical research and drug development.

TetraScience builds the TetraScience Scientific Data and AI Cloud, a platform designed to liberate, unify and transform raw scientific data into AI-ready information for research and drug development. The company's technical work spans scientific data management, cloud computing, lab instrument data integration, data unification and transformation, and data infrastructure replatforming - the plumbing that turns fragmented, siloed laboratory data into structured inputs suitable for machine learning and scientific AI.

Founded in 2014 by three academic researchers - Alok Tayi, Salvatore Savo and Siping Wang - working across Harvard and MIT, TetraScience set out to eliminate tedious manual data work for scientists. The platform connects lab instruments to a single cloud system in place of fragmented, siloed lab data stacks. By the company's account, 48% of top pharmaceutical companies use it to replatform their entire scientific data infrastructure.

Customers and users sit in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, drug discovery and development, healthcare, scientific research and manufacturing sectors. The company describes its mission as speeding up life-saving discoveries and drug development, framing its work around solving what it calls humanity's grand challenges in healthcare and beyond.
