SafetyKit builds AI agents that carry out fraud, risk, compliance and safety workflows for marketplaces and payments companies. The work covers underwriting, investigations and content moderation, and is aimed at tasks that require subject-matter expertise - such as spotting inconsistencies in a fraudster's account or checking products against regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

Its SafetyKit AI Agents Platform consolidates fragmented monitoring tools, custom machine-learning models, data providers, case-management systems and outsourced review into a single system. In an evaluation by Upwork, the platform achieved 95% accuracy against 80% for human reviewers.

The company has raised $27m in Series A funding. Named clients include Patreon, Eventbrite, Upwork and Character.ai, and its work spans marketplaces, payments, the creator economy, e-commerce and consumer AI applications. It positions its ambition as becoming the risk, compliance and safety team for the enterprises it serves, against a backdrop in which companies spend hundreds of billions of dollars on fragmented risk and fraud tooling.
