Oklo
Oklo designs and deploys advanced fission power plants, including the liquid metal-cooled Aurora powerhouse, to supply clean power to data centres, industry and remote sites.
Oklo designs and deploys advanced fission power plants to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy at scale. Its technical work centres on liquid metal-cooled fast neutron reactors, fast reactor technology, nuclear fuel recycling and passive safety systems. The flagship Aurora powerhouse is a line of next-generation fast-fission units generating 15-75 MWe, using liquid metal cooling and passive safety mechanisms that reduce reactor power without human intervention. The design can use nuclear waste as fuel, supported by the company's nuclear fuel recycling technology.
Oklo's customer base spans data centres, artificial intelligence facilities, remote communities, industrial sites and defence installations. Its order book, which includes a Master Power Agreement with Switch, stands at roughly 15 GW. The company has entered a partnership with Meta for a 1.2 GW nuclear energy campus in Ohio.
The first Aurora powerhouse is targeted for commercial operations in 2028 at Idaho National Laboratory. Oklo's geographic presence is currently concentrated in the United States, with activities at Idaho National Laboratory and in Ohio.
