Albert Invent

Albert Invent provides an AI-powered R&D platform uniting ELNs, LIMS and AI tools to accelerate chemical and materials science innovation.

Albert Invent builds an AI-powered R&D platform for chemistry and materials science. The platform combines electronic lab notebooks (ELN), laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and AI tools into a single operating system for chemistry, and its models are trained on more than 15 million molecular structures. Work at the intersection of machine learning and chemistry informatics covers molecular modelling, data consolidation and structuring, and customer portal software.

The platform is used by scientists in more than 30 countries and deployed across 142 labs in 41 countries. Reported outcomes include consolidating seven disconnected systems, generating 10.5 million structured data points, cutting development cycles from three months to two days and doubling speed to market. The company also builds AI-powered customer portals intended to create new revenue streams for its clients.

Albert Invent was founded by chemists who previously worked at Dow, BASF, PPG and Henkel, and describes itself as a science-first organisation with a mission to digitalise the world of chemistry. The team is distributed across four countries and continues to grow. Industries served include chemicals, materials science, coatings and specialty chemicals.
