Team8

Team8 is a venture group that both builds companies from scratch and invests in startups, working in four areas: cybersecurity, software infrastructure, fintech and digital health. Founded in 2014, the firm reports $1.5 billion in assets under management and more than 64 companies created through its venture creation model. Its team is composed of serial entrepreneurs, former CEOs and unicorn founders.

The group operates two distinct models. The venture creation model builds companies alongside founders, turning ideas into businesses; the venture capital model invests in existing startups and provides capital to help them scale. Both draw on The Village, a community of more than 450 C-level executives, industry leaders and domain experts who share insights and challenges in order to identify real problems worth solving and to validate ideas before anything is built.

Team8 describes its approach as hands-on: the firm does not simply write cheques and walk away. Deep domain expertise is valued, validation is community-driven, and the stated aim is lasting impact rather than short-term gains. The firm maintains a founder-centric focus on building market-defining companies.
