Sciforium
Sciforium builds byte-native multimodal foundation models and a high-efficiency inference serving platform on its own AMD hardware, with an OpenAI-compatible API.
Sciforium, founded in 2024, develops AI infrastructure end to end. Its technical work spans byte-native multimodal foundation models - models built natively across text, image, video and audio - as well as inference optimization, model serving and high-performance computing hardware optimisation. The company has raised multi-million-dollar funding.
Central to the business is a proprietary high-efficiency serving platform that runs on Sciforium's own AMD hardware, tuned specifically for AI inference. The company argues that owning the stack yields stronger privacy, lower cost and more predictable performance than shared-server alternatives, and that its platform allows developers to deploy production-ready AI applications in minutes rather than months. Hardware and logistics partners include AMD, Equinix and Supermicro.
Access to the models is provided through an OpenAI-compatible API covering four modalities: text, image, video and audio. The engineering culture is described as full-stack, with ownership of both hardware and software, and developer-focused: the stated aim is to strip out hidden markups and infrastructure complexity so that engineers can concentrate on product development. Industry verticals include developer tools and MLOps, cloud inference serving, and frontier AI and real-time applications.
