Runware
Runware is an AI inference platform giving developers and businesses one API to thousands of generative AI models across image, video, audio, 3D and language.
Runware is an AI inference platform founded in 2023 and headquartered in London. It gives developers and businesses a single API through which to reach thousands of generative AI models spanning image, video, audio, 3D and language modalities. The company reports that its unified API has processed more than 10 billion requests and serves over 300 million end users, and that media generation can be integrated with one API call without infrastructure management or capacity planning on the customer's side.
The platform rests on the Sonic Inference Engine, a proprietary and fully custom hardware and software stack built specifically for AI inference. Runware states that the engine achieves up to 10x lower cost per generation than market rates. Alongside it, Sonic Pods are modular AI inference data centres designed and operated by Runware on its own GPU hardware infrastructure, optimised for performance and cost efficiency. Technical work at the company spans inference systems, generative modelling across media types, GPU infrastructure and API platform engineering.
Runware is oriented towards developer and enterprise use, with a customer base that is global and an industry footprint covering developer tools, enterprise software, generative media and AI infrastructure. The company reports that it is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and describes a focus on performance, cost efficiency and data privacy as it has grown since its founding.
