Omnissa
Omnissa, spun off from VMware in 2024, builds an AI-driven digital work platform spanning endpoint management, virtual apps and desktops, employee experience, and security.
Omnissa builds an AI-driven digital work platform that unifies IT operations to deliver self-healing, self-configuring and self-securing digital workspaces. The company was formed on July 1, 2024, when the VMware End-User Computing business was spun off as an independent firm backed by investment firm KKR. Its headquarters are in Mountain View, California, with offices across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
The Omnissa Platform combines several product lines: Unified Endpoint Management, for managing devices across the enterprise; Virtual Apps and Desktops, for delivering applications and desktops to employees; Digital Employee Experience; and Security & Compliance, which includes AI governance within the workspace suite. Automation is the technical thread running through the portfolio, with the platform designed to detect and remediate issues, configure environments and enforce security without manual intervention.
The company reports 26,000 customers globally, including seven of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies, and claims more than 20 years of experience defining digital workspaces through its prior VMware lineage. Work spans technical domains including AI-driven workspace platforms, unified endpoint management, virtualisation, digital employee experience, and security and compliance. Engineering teams operate from global offices, with a stated focus on AI-driven innovation and automation following the spin-off.
