Norbert Health

Norbert Health builds autonomous robots with contactless, medical-grade monitoring for post-acute care facilities, using multimodal AI and sensor fusion to capture vital signs and document to EMR systems.

Norbert Health, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, builds AI-driven care automation for post-acute care settings. The company deploys autonomous robots equipped with contactless, medical-grade monitoring across nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and other senior care sites in the United States.

The company's technical work spans multimodal and physical AI, computer vision, voice and audio processing, and radar and infrared sensing, combined through sensor fusion to enable contactless vital sign monitoring. The Norbert system converts standard wheeled robots into care assistants that round on patients autonomously, capture vital signs without contact, measure mobility and activity, and run cognitive and behavioural assessments. It writes documentation directly to EMR systems and escalates clinical alerts when anomalies are detected. The system holds FDA clearance for contactless pulse and respiratory rate capture.

Norbert Health describes its focus as proactive, preventive care for elderly and chronically ill patients, with the aim of removing wearables and manual effort from routine monitoring and of addressing shortages in nursing staff.
