Roger Healthcare
Roger Healthcare builds an AI documentation platform that completes OASIS assessments and visit notes for home health agencies, using ambient speech recognition and EMR integration.
Roger Healthcare builds AI systems for clinical documentation in home health. Its technical work spans natural language processing, ambient speech recognition and machine learning, applied to the task of transcribing and structuring in-home patient visits. The flagship product, Roger, listens during a visit, guides the clinician through the encounter, flags missed items in real time and autofills the chart in the clinician's existing EMR. It completes full OASIS assessments and routine visit notes within minutes.
The company reports an 80% reduction in documentation time, and says it serves more than 300 home healthcare agencies and thousands of clinicians across the United States. Integration with existing EHR systems is a core engineering requirement: the platform writes completed documentation directly into the record systems that agencies already use.
Roger Healthcare was spun out of Cornell University, with founders drawn from AI research and engineering and a team that also includes healthcare industry leaders. The company states its aim as reducing administrative burden so that more care can be delivered to elderly patients in the home. It is backed by investors including SignalFire.
