Harmonic

Harmonic is an AI research laboratory building Aristotle, a mathematical reasoning engine aimed at verifiably correct reasoning and mathematical superintelligence.

Harmonic is an AI research laboratory founded in 2023 to build what it describes as the world's most advanced mathematical reasoning engine. Its stated objective is mathematical superintelligence: systems capable of advanced reasoning while producing outputs that are verifiably correct. The work spans large language models, automated theorem proving and formal verification, with an explicit emphasis on certainty and verifiability rather than raw computational scale.

The laboratory's flagship product is Aristotle, a mathematical reasoning engine. Harmonic reports that Aristotle achieved gold-medal-level performance at the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad, and that its systems have solved open problems that have challenged mathematicians for decades. The company is backed by Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins and Ribbit Capital.

Technical work at Harmonic concentrates on mathematical reasoning, verifiable AI and formal methods, alongside AI alignment and the pursuit of truthful AI. Applications cited by the laboratory include mathematics education and the acceleration of verified software synthesis in safety-critical domains.
