Fracht Group (Fracht USA)

Fracht Group, whose American arm operates as Fracht USA, is a worldwide logistics network and freight forwarder. Founded in Basel, Switzerland, in 1955 by Mr. Ruedi Reisdorf as a family-run freight forwarder, the company today employs more than 1,700 logistics experts across over 150 offices in more than 45 countries, and reports annual revenue exceeding $1 billion. It operates through six independent sister holding companies.

The company provides general and specialised multimodal freight transport and logistics solutions. Its ocean freight business is run both as an NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) and as a traditional freight forwarder, moving more than 300,000 TEUs a year. Air freight accounts for over 10 million kilos annually. Both volumes have been sustained at these levels for the past decade. Road and rail transport, customs brokerage and warehousing round out the core offering.

Alongside general cargo, Fracht handles specialist shipments, including project cargo, live animal transport and logistics for remote or hard-to-reach locations.
