Flexion Robotics

Flexion Robotics builds the hardware-agnostic autonomy software stack for humanoid robots, using simulation and reinforcement learning for sim-to-real deployment.

Flexion Robotics develops the autonomy stack for humanoid robots - the software intelligence layer that sits above the hardware and enables complex behaviour in simple human tasks. Its work spans the full autonomy spectrum, from command and control to manipulation and locomotion. The company's emphasis is on the robot "brain" rather than mechanical hardware.

The company's product is a hardware-agnostic autonomy stack that can be deployed across any robot platform. It is built on simulation and reinforcement-learning models trained in virtual environments and transferred to real-world deployment with minimal human intervention. The underlying technical domains include robot autonomy software, simulation, reinforcement learning, AI model training and sim-to-real transfer, robot manipulation, robot locomotion and robot command and control.

Flexion Robotics was founded by scientists, roboticists and engineers from NVIDIA. In 2024 the company raised $50 million in Series A funding, which it plans to use to expand its research and development capabilities. The company targets humanoid robotics and embodied AI applications, including office and everyday task automation and space exploration. Further information is available at https://flexion.ai/.
