Fleetio

Fleetio, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, builds cloud-based fleet management software. Its platform helps organisations track, analyse and improve operations across vehicles, equipment, parts and drivers, automating routine maintenance tasks, recording costs and supplying real-time analytics. The company serves thousands of organisations worldwide and its software manages hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

The product line comprises a web-based fleet management platform and mobile applications for smartphones and tablets. The mobile apps support drivers with vehicle inspections, issue reporting and fuel logging, while the web platform is designed to reduce manual data entry and improve communication among fleet stakeholders. Customers span transportation and logistics as well as other industries that operate vehicle fleets.

Engineering work is carried out with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript and PostgreSQL, alongside Snowflake and dbt for data analytics. The company is a founding member of the Rails Foundation. In March 2025 Fleetio raised $450m in a Series D funding round.
