UniversalAGI

UniversalAGI builds foundation AI models for physics simulation and autonomous agents that automate the CAE lifecycle, cutting design iterations from weeks to seconds.

UniversalAGI, founded in 2024, develops foundation AI models for physics simulation and autonomous AI agents aimed at automating the physical systems engineering lifecycle. The company's work spans computational physics, simulation automation, computer-aided engineering (CAE) automation, design optimization and machine learning - combining techniques from AI research with domain expertise in physics and mechanical engineering.

The company's product, the UniversalAGI Platform, applies autonomous agents to the engineering process from initial design through optimization, validation and production. By removing the need for traditional meshing, HPC infrastructure and simulation queues, the platform compresses a CAE workflow that typically takes two to nine or more weeks per design iteration into seconds, moving engineers from CAD to insight in seconds.

UniversalAGI targets engineering-intensive sectors including aerospace, automotive, biotech, pharmaceuticals, energy, industrial manufacturing, defense and maritime. Its team is described as multidisciplinary, spanning AI researchers, physicists, mechanical engineers and simulation experts. The company is backed by investors and angels including Elad Gil, Eric Schmidt, Ion Stoica and Turing Award winner David Patterson, with a stated mission of accelerating the innovation cycle for engineers.
