Tzafon

Tzafon is an applied R&D lab building foundation models, scalable compute and autonomous AI agents, with open-source browser automation infrastructure WayPoint and the Lightcone agentic platform.

Tzafon is an applied research and development lab working on foundation models and scalable compute systems for large-scale automation and autonomous AI agents. Its stated focus is on agents that can interact with computers and real-world environments in the way humans do, a mission set at the intersection of artificial intelligence and high-performance software engineering. Technical domains covered include foundation models, autonomous agents, machine intelligence, browser automation and agentic workloads.

The company's work has produced two named systems. WayPoint is open-source browser automation infrastructure capable of launching up to 1,000 browsers per second, aimed at workloads that need to run many browser sessions in parallel. Lightcone is an AI platform for agentic workloads. The team has raised over $12 million to date, with investors including HV Capital, Streamlined Ventures and Kakao VC, alongside angels from OpenAI and xAI.

Tzafon's staff come from DeepMind, Jane Street, Citadel, ETH Zurich, MIT, Decart, Google, Unit 81 and Unit 8200, and include IOI and IMO medalists, PhDs and industry veterans. The company maintains offices in San Francisco, Zurich and Tel Aviv.
