Relativity

Relativity provides a legal data intelligence platform using AI, analytics and cloud-native technology for e-discovery, litigation and investigations.

Relativity builds a legal data intelligence platform used by law firms, corporations and government agencies to organise data, discover facts and act on them across litigation, investigations and e-discovery. Founded in 2001 by Andrew Sieja to address the data-overload problems facing legal professionals, the company employs over 1,600 people and serves thousands of organisations on four continents.

The technical work spans artificial intelligence, analytics, cloud-native platform engineering and large-scale data processing. Its two principal products reflect that range. The original Relativity platform simplifies e-discovery by helping legal professionals organise data and surface findings during litigation and investigations. RelativityOne is a cloud-native platform that combines advanced AI with analytics for handling complex matters, and processes billions of documents.

Relativity's software is applied to high-stakes work, including corporate litigation and regulatory investigations, in verticals ranging from corporate legal departments and law firms to government agencies. The company describes its mission as helping customers organise data, discover the truth and act on it, and states an ambition to push the boundaries of what is possible in legal technology.
