Prosper AI builds conversational AI voice agents for healthcare. Founded in 2023 by MIT and Harvard alumni Xavier de Gracia and Josep Mingot, the company develops AI phone agents that speak in a natural, human-like manner and handle patient and payor communications end-to-end. Its technical work spans conversational AI, voice and speech systems, autonomous agents, and integration with electronic health records and practice management software.

The company's product, Prosper AI Phone Agents, connects directly into practice management software and EHR systems to carry out administrative tasks that would otherwise require staff phone time: scheduling, benefits verification, prior authorisations, claims follow-up and patient billing. The agents handle thousands of daily phone calls across more than 60 healthcare organisations, including leading outpatient groups and EHR platforms. Reported outcomes include a reduction of over 50% in administrative costs.

The company has raised $35m in total - a $5m seed round followed by a $30m Series A - from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Emergence Capital and CRV.
