Highlight AI is building an artificial intelligence platform designed to function as a proactive layer across a knowledge worker's desktop applications. The system captures work context and automatically generates follow-ups, summaries, and action items within the tools where that work takes place. The company's approach focuses on observing how people actually work to reduce friction in day-to-day tasks.
The company operates with a small team whose members have backgrounds at Discord, Medal.tv, and Meta. It was founded by engineers, designers, and researchers with expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Highlight AI has raised $40 million in Series A funding to develop its platform. The company targets the knowledge work vertical, where its product integrates across desktop applications to surface actionable information without requiring manual effort from users.
