GFiber

GFiber, an Alphabet company formerly known as Google Fiber, operates fiber broadband networks delivering 1–8 Gbps symmetrical internet to homes and businesses across 18 US states.

GFiber, formerly Google Fiber, is a fiber broadband internet service operated by Alphabet Inc. The company designs and runs networks delivering symmetrical gigabit-scale internet to homes and businesses across the United States, with service in 18 states including Kansas City, Austin, Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville. Its technical work spans fiber broadband networking, gigabit internet delivery and wireless standards, with Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 routers included with every plan.

Founded in 2010, GFiber sells residential and business plans ranging from 1 Gbps to 8 Gbps, with identical upload and download speeds. Beyond raw throughput, the service includes an internet battery backup for continuity and a priority room optimization feature that tunes connectivity for a designated room. The company states a mission to deliver fast, reliable, fairly priced and open internet service, and a vision of making gigabit internet mainstream; customers are not subject to data caps or annual contracts.

The service has been recognised with multiple J.D. Power awards for customer satisfaction and PCMag Readers' Choice awards. GFiber is backed by Alphabet Inc. as an operating subsidiary.
