Avride

Avride develops autonomous vehicles and delivery robots, and operates both globally. The company was founded in 2017 and spun off from Yandex's self-driving car unit in 2020 to become an independent company; many of its engineers worked on autonomous driving technology at Yandex for years before joining. It employs hundreds of engineers across its operations in multiple countries.

Its engineering work spans autonomous driving technology, self-driving cars and delivery robots. The two product lines share a common technology base: the delivery robots and the self-driving cars are designed to benefit from each other's advancements, allowing research and engineering progress on one platform to carry over to the other. Avride states its mission as making roads safer and more accessible.

The delivery robot fleet has completed over 600,000 deliveries. In the United States, Avride launched an autonomous taxi service in Dallas in partnership with Uber, bringing its technology into everyday commercial use. The company operates across the autonomous transportation, mobility and ride-hailing, delivery and logistics, and robotics verticals.
